A fastener that combines several features is the hex flange head self-taping screw with a slot. The six-sided head shape, known as the "hex, "is intended to be driven with a wrench or socket. The screw's "flange head "designates a wider diameter with an integrated sleeve, increasing the load-bearing surface and lowering the possibility of over-driving.
